About the Role
Lead a team focused on control plane packet processing, a critical part of emnify's platform that bridges telecom protocols and internet-based systems. This role is central to enabling reliable, high-performance connectivity at scale. You will guide both people and technical direction, ensuring the team delivers robust solutions while continuously improving its operations.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of approximately 6 engineers, driving performance, clarity, and accountability.
- Provide technical direction in control plane packet processing, ensuring sound design and maintainable systems.
- Translate engineering priorities into clear plans, managing delivery, risks, and dependencies.
- Work closely with adjacent teams to align on architecture, trade-offs, and system evolution.
- Build a strong team environment through coaching, feedback, and structured development.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience leading engineering teams, including ownership of team performance, delivery, and development.
- Solid foundation in networking protocols (e.g. TCP/IP, UDP) and telco standards in packet processing (GTP-C, GTP-U).
- Ability to work effectively with Golang-based systems, including reading and understanding production code.
- Clear and effective communication, with the ability to align stakeholders, guide decisions, and drive execution.
