About the Role
We are seeking Government Contracts Lawyers to advise clients on government procurement processes and provide legal support to in-house legal teams, ensuring compliance with federal and state laws.
Responsibilities
- Advise clients on all aspects of government contracting, including contract formation, negotiation, performance, and termination.
- Provide support to clients on government contracts-related issues as they arise.
- Assist clients in navigating government procurement processes, including bid protests, requests for proposals (RFPs), and contract disputes.
- Provide legal counsel on compliance matters related to government contracts, including applicable regulations (FAR, DFARS), certifications, and reporting requirements.
- Provide legal counsel and support to clients on all aspects of state and local government contracting, including bid preparation, proposal submission, contract negotiation, and contract administration.
- Advise clients on regulatory compliance matters related to state and local government procurement, including adherence to applicable statutes, regulations, and policies.
Requirements
- Active membership in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience practicing law, with a focus on government contracts, preferably in a law firm, in-house or government agency setting.
- Strong knowledge of federal acquisition regulations (FAR), agency-specific regulations, and other laws governing government contracts.
- Strong knowledge of state and local procurement laws, regulations, and procedures, including experience with public sector contracting and regulatory compliance.
