About the Role

The Account Development Representative (ADR) drives pipeline growth by identifying, engaging, and qualifying leads. This role is a crucial first touchpoint for prospects, setting the tone for the sales cycle and initiating relationships with potential customers, particularly in the manufacturing sector.

Responsibilities

  • Drive pipeline growth by identifying, engaging, and qualifying leads.
  • Follow up with inbound leads promptly.
  • Attend events and manage event leads.
  • Conduct outreach to nurture relationships through the sales funnel.
  • Collaborate with the sales team and marketing to ensure a steady flow of high-quality leads.
  • Gather market insights to understand customer needs and preferences.
  • Take the lead in outbound prospecting, identifying, engaging, and qualifying key decision-makers.
  • Run qualification meetings with prospects to understand their needs and determine fit.
  • Collaborate with strategic account executives to develop account intelligence and identify use case opportunities.
  • Partner with Cogniters across various teams to enhance collaboration.
  • Engage in phone, email, and social media conversations to build relationships with potential clients.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on Cognite's product offerings.
  • Craft personalized messages for key stakeholders and develop effective outreach tactics.
  • Continuously seek to improve and optimize outbound and inbound efforts.
  • Conduct thorough research and account planning for target accounts.
  • Support marketing campaigns through initial outreach and post-campaign follow-ups.
  • Quickly follow up on any new inbound leads.
  • Prospect using sales tools like ZoomInfo, Sales Navigator, Salesforce, and LinkedIn.
  • Conduct outreach activities through phone calls, emails, and social media.
  • Follow up with leads generated from outreach efforts or events.
  • Research target accounts to understand pain points and identify new opportunities.
  • Participate in feedback sessions to review challenges and discuss strategies.
  • Review accomplishments, update CRM systems, and plan outreach activities.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of experience in sales development within the technology or industrial sector.
  • Proficient in prospecting using various sales tools, including Zoominfo, Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, HubSpot, Outreach, and 6Sense.
  • Experience in the Energy and/or Manufacturing industry is a distinct advantage.
  • Interest and experience within the AI space are highly advantageous.
  • Motivated to design and optimize best practices for the ADR role.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to listen and foster positive, energetic conversations.
  • Keen ability to understand customer business initiatives, pain points, and requirements, and correlate them with business value.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple requests and time demands.
  • Eager to learn about the Manufacturing vertical.
  • Comfortable with travel across the US and Europe.
  • Proactive and self-directed.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with a global team across different time zones.
  • Disciplined and persistent with strong work ethics.
  • Confidence in interactions to establish trust and rapport.
