About the Role
As an SAP Finance & Controlling Team Lead Consultant (w/m/x), you will play a central role in advancing our SAP Finance portfolio. You will combine technical expertise with leadership skills, taking responsibility for a dedicated team of SAP consultants. Together, you will shape the future of finance transformation for our clients, using S/4HANA as an enabler for modern financial processes.
Responsibilities
- Take a leading role in demanding SAP S/4HANA Finance & Controlling transformation programs, advising clients as a trusted advisor on strategic and operational issues.
- Take responsibility for Finance and/or Controlling streams, sub-programs, or complex end-to-end process areas in national and international transformation projects, focusing on quality, economic efficiency, and sustainable results.
- Design target state visions, process architectures, template strategies, and roadmaps for modern finance organizations based on SAP S/4HANA and industry best practices.
- Confidently lead client workshops, management presentations, and decision-making formats, translating business requirements into viable SAP solutions.
- Provide technical leadership to project teams, coordinate internal and external stakeholders, and ensure structured, goal-oriented collaboration.
- Systematically identify optimization potential along Finance, Controlling, and Logistics processes and develop actionable solutions with measurable added value.
- Contribute expertise to presales activities, solution design, proposal processes, and client meetings, actively supporting the expansion of our SAP Finance & Controlling business.
- Further develop our consulting portfolio, contribute thought leadership, and drive innovative topics such as AI-driven finance processes, automation, analytics, or predictive accounting.
Requirements
- Completed degree in (Business) Informatics, Business Administration, Economics, or a comparable field of study.
- Fluent German language skills (minimum C1 level) for communication with clients, top management, and internal stakeholders, as well as very good English skills.
- Minimum 8 to 10 years of SAP project experience with a focus on Finance FI and/or Controlling CO, ideally in a leading consulting, stream, or project responsibility role.
- Comprehensive experience in national and international SAP S/4HANA transformation programs, particularly Greenfield, Brownfield, and Hybrid scenarios.
- Deep functional and process expertise in SAP Finance and/or Controlling, as well as sound knowledge of integration with logistics processes, especially MM, SD, and PP.
- Proficient in SAP S/4HANA best practices, scope items, fit-to-standard approaches, target architectures, and template and rollout concepts.
- Experience in functional leadership, stakeholder management, client consulting, conflict resolution, and moderation at management and decision-maker level.
- Strategic thinking, entrepreneurial action, implementation strength, and interest in innovative topics such as AI, Analytics, Predictive Accounting, Process Mining, or automation in the finance environment.
