About the Role
We are seeking a Lead Game Designer to guide the creative vision of our current game portfolio and lead the development of new titles. This role involves partnering with leadership to translate player insights into engaging gameplay and features, setting design quality standards, and mentoring designers. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of hands-on design expertise, leadership skills, and experience utilizing AI tools in game development.
Responsibilities
- Own and uphold the product vision and design standards for live and new products.
- Design features, systems, and live ops events based on player research and data.
- Develop and refine the game's economy, balancing currency, progression, and rewards.
- Own the A/B testing roadmap for design-led features.
- Prepare clear, detailed design documentation using AI-supported workflows.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design alignment and smooth execution.
- Work within IP guidelines to ensure brand representation.
- Evolve design team workflows, integrating AI tools to enhance quality and velocity.
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of designers, fostering a culture of ownership and curiosity.
Requirements
- 7+ years in game design with proven experience leading or mentoring a design team.
- Strong portfolio of shipped features and titles demonstrating design craft and commercial impact.
- Direct experience in social casino or bingo titles preferred.
- Hands-on experience across the full development lifecycle: market research, prototyping, development, live ops, post-launch analysis.
- Deep expertise in economy design, balancing, and progression systems.
- Strong grasp of mobile UX principles and player journey design.
- Analytical fluency with key mobile metrics and player behavior.
- Practical experience designing and interpreting A/B tests.
- Practical experience using AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot) to accelerate ideation, documentation, balance modeling, and team communication.
- Excellent written communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Comfort navigating production trade-offs and influencing senior stakeholders.
- Passion for games and genuine player empathy.
