About the Role

Integrated Logistics Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement a comprehensive logistics strategy to consolidate shipping, reduce BD warehouse footprints, and align affiliate and distributor operations under a unified "One BD" model. Continuously assess network performance, identify risks and redundancies, and implement proactive improvements for supply resilience while maintaining distributor engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a complete logistics strategy that consolidates shipping, reduces BD warehouse footprints, and realigns affiliate and distributor operations around a “One BD” model.
  • Continuously evaluate network performance, identify risks and redundancies, and implement proactive improvements to maintain resilient supply—all while keeping distributors fully engaged.
  • Build positive relationships with distributors, 3PLs, and suppliers by negotiating and managing contracts that secure competitive rates, favorable terms, and compliance with BD’s service-level standards.
  • Work with trusted partners to receive in-market sales and inventory data.
  • Ensure trusted partners are placing orders as per BD expected timelines and aligned with BD sales objectives.
  • Oversee distributor transportation strategy—including carrier selection, route optimization, load management, ensure timely deliveries that meet or exceed OTIF targets.
  • Introduce shipping consolidation (eg milk runs) and other efficiency measures, where feasible, to reduce freight costs and environmental impact without compromising service quality.
  • Set specific targets to reduce distribution and logistics expenses through process improvements, shipping consolidation, and warehouse footprint reductions, in close alignment with distributor readiness.
  • Monitor cost drivers (freight, warehousing, handling) and lead continuous improvement programs to achieve sustainable margin growth.
  • Guide the organization through disciplined network and safety-stock changes, support talent development, and ensure readiness for sustained performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or Operations.
  • 5+ years of experience in Supply Chain (Forecasting, Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Inventory Planning, Materials Management, Master Planning, Scheduling, Lifecycle management).
  • Experience leading Kaizens.
  • Experience working with commercial teams, distributors, or customer service.
  • Familiarity with customer segmentation models.
  • Ability to translate insights into actions.
  • Strong working knowledge of JDE and ECC.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to influence key collaborators, work independently, collaboratively, and effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications.

  • Kaizen Sensei or Blackbelt
