About the Role

ALPADIA is seeking numerous German as a Foreign Language Teachers + Activity Leaders for summer camps in Germany for the Summer 2026 season. Responsibilities include teaching German to teenagers in the morning and leading afternoon activities and excursions, following Alpadia's immersion and experiential learning approach. You will collaborate with other staff, ensure a meaningful camp experience for students, and participate in daily camp operations.

Responsibilities

Conducting engaging German lessons for teenagers (ages 10-17) in the morning (5 mornings/week).
Participating in activities and excursions in the afternoon.
Collaborating closely with other teachers and activity leaders.
Ensuring students have a meaningful time at camp, learning and developing personally.
Providing expert supervision and ensuring student safety.
Actively participating in daily camp operations, including checking attendance, assisting with wake-up and bedtime routines, and leading evening programs.

Requirements

Experience teaching German as a Foreign Language in a professional capacity.
Fluency in German.
High level of physical, mental, and emotional resilience.
Experience in meaningful, professional teamwork.
High energy level, enthusiasm, and enjoyment speaking to large groups.
Availability for at least 5 weeks during the summer.
Fluency in German and English.
Experience in Outdoor Education or summer camps.
Possession of a driver's license and the ability to drive a minivan.
Availability for the entire summer season (June 28 - August 8).
All hired staff must undergo a criminal background check and provide 3 professional references.
