About the Role

To maximize Amgen's value propositions through first-class medical and scientific projects, services, and expertise, with key scientific customers within a therapeutic area. To implement scientific programs in local territories in collaboration with external/internal customers.

Responsibilities

  • Identifies, develops, and maintains collaborative relationships with current and future scientific experts, cooperative study groups, and clinical trial sites.
  • Discusses scientific value messages, clinical outcomes, and patient benefits with scientific experts and hospital pharmacists.
  • Identifies new research opportunities.
  • Ensures society engagement: MSL support of international and regional congresses.
  • Implements and disseminates high-quality medical and scientific educational programs.
  • Delivers targeted internal training for selected topics.
  • Ensures conduct of work in line with compliance regulations.

Requirements

  • Advanced degree (e.g., PhD, Master degree, RPh, PharmD) preferred or strong demonstration of equivalent combination of relevant educational and professional training.
  • Work experience in Medical Science Liaison, Medical Affairs, or Clinical Development in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Deep knowledge in solid or hematological tumors.
  • Good communication/negotiation skills with scientific experts and internal stakeholders.
  • English speaking skill at a moderate level is preferable (basic level might also be acceptable occasionally).
  • Scientific expertise in the therapeutic area, related products, disease state, and interest in latest discoveries.
  • Project management and presentation skills.
  • Good knowledge of clinical research, drug safety, legal, and compliance environment.
  • Willingness to continuously expand medical, scientific, market, and industry knowledge.
