About the Role
This role involves analyzing Japanese corporate bond issuers, particularly in nonfinancial sectors, and the Japanese credit market. Key responsibilities include monitoring credit markets and individual companies, providing data-driven insights on bond performance, and analyzing new investment strategies.
Responsibilities
- Preparation of research reports on nonfinancial Japanese corporate bond issuers and the Japanese credit market.
- Evaluation of individual credit based on industry and fundamentals analysis.
- Providing investment recommendations for bonds (senior, sub) and CDS to institutional clients.
- Conducting domestic/overseas client marketing and teach-in sessions for sales and traders.
- Introducing overseas companies and credit market trends using BofA Global Research analyst reports and presentations.
Requirements
- Minimum of five years of experience in equity research, buy-side, investment banking, or rating agency roles.
- Experience with econometric software and data/news services.
- Proficiency in quantitative analysis and database management.
- Understanding of finance, accounting, economics, international affairs, and politics.
- Ability to build strong client relationships through effective communication and collaboration.
- Capability to execute multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to apply learnings and adapt new information to identify client solutions.
- Strong computer application skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Excellent English (reading, writing, speaking).
- Native level Japanese proficiency is required.
