About the Role
This role is responsible for technical assistance, resolving helpdesk tickets, and fulfilling service requests in line with defined service level agreements. It involves taking ownership and communicating on progress, performing builds, managing and maintaining the build room, and handling asset provisioning and decommissioning.
Responsibilities
- Perform Desktop builds
- Manage and maintain Build rooms
- Receipt and storage of goods and assets
- Asset tagging
- Asset commissioning and decommissioning
- Assist with hard and soft break fix services for laptops and desktops
- Assist with support and maintenance on Desktop (Field Users) devices for their entire lifecycle
- Assist with the configuration and installation of the Desktop, including patch updates and hardware replacements with vendor-provided spares
- Ensure each Desktop Device is installed with the appropriate Desktop image
- Create technical documentation and manuals
- Management of spares and buffer stock
Requirements
- ITIL Foundation qualification is desirable but not essential
- A+ computer certification
- Entry level Desktop Technician
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to communicate technical information in a clear and understandable manner to non-technical stakeholders
- A track record in 1st Line incident diagnosis and resolution
- Proven ability to work flexibly and adapt to demand
- Knowledge of anti-virus programs
- Excellent problem-solving and multitasking skills
- Customer focused attitude
- Candidates must have the relevant work rights
