About the Role
As an Accountant, you will be part of the Finance & Procurement team, working closely with Financial Accountants on internal and external accounting. You will play a key role in ensuring our processes are clean, efficient, and conscientious, supporting our growing organization with your expertise.
Responsibilities
- Process and monitor all incoming invoices and maintain master data in Candis.
- Legally compliant booking in DATEV Rechnungswesen.
- Create outgoing invoices and initiate dunning procedures for overdue payments.
- Prepare monthly VAT pre-declarations and ensure correct tax treatment of all business transactions.
- Support the preparation of the annual financial statements for our large corporation, including creditor account reconciliation, provision formation, and preparation of documents for other tax types in coordination with our tax advisor.
- Proactively prepare knowledge on tax topics and current tax changes in the form of an internal tax newsletter.
- Take responsibility for the ongoing quality assurance of creditor data to ensure meaningful monthly analyses (BWA and GuV) within the team.
Requirements
- Comprehensive knowledge in accounts payable and accounts receivable accounting.
- Extensive experience with DATEV-Rechnungswesen, mastering its full range of functions for accounts payable accounting.
- Familiarity with the requirements of a large corporation and proficiency in creditor account reconciliation and support for annual financial statements in HGB context.
- Structured work approach and openness to digital task management.
- Proficiency in German (C1 level) and ability to communicate in English.
- Willingness to omit a photo and personal information (residence, age, gender, marital status, etc.) from the CV.
