About the Role
Code Camp is seeking facilitators/educators for school holiday and after-school tech programs. This role is ideal for university students seeking hands-on experience working with children while developing tech and leadership skills.
Responsibilities
- Deliver lesson plans to a small class of primary-aged children.
- Supervise children during tech programs.
- Communicate with school staff and parents.
Requirements
- Experience or interest in working with children aged 5-12.
- Passion for fields such as coding, Minecraft, animation, science, and creativity.
- Ability to work approximately 3pm - 5pm once a week over 8 weeks at a school.
- Confidence in speaking in front of a group.
- Enthusiasm and problem-solving abilities.
- Trustworthy, independent, punctual, and reliable.
- Desire for resume experience and references.
- Valid Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
- Tech-savvy with an interest in science, tech, and creativity.
- Mature outlook, common sense, and ability to supervise children.
- Great customer service skills.
- Fluent conversational English.
- Must supply own laptop and HDMI adapter.
