About the Role
This opportunity is ideal for a reliable and hardworking team player who takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and supporting positive patient experiences within a hospital environment. You will work as part of a supportive Environmental Services team responsible for maintaining exceptional cleanliness and infection control standards across all hospital areas. This role is suited to someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and values teamwork, safety and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness across all hospital areas, including wards and operating theatres.
- Ensuring equipment used during shifts is cleaned, restocked and stored appropriately.
- Operating cleaning equipment including auto scrubbers and polish machines.
- Supporting infection control and workplace safety standards at all times.
- Working collaboratively with nursing staff and other hospital stakeholders.
- Providing excellent customer service to patients, visitors and staff.
- Maintaining a professional and supportive approach within a large team environment.
- Contributing to quality clinical outcomes through effective communication and teamwork.
Requirements
- Previous experience in cleaning services or housekeeping services.
- Previous hospital cleaning experience will be highly regarded.
- Experience using auto scrubbers and polish machines preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a large team environment.
- Commitment to workplace safety, cleanliness and infection control.
- Flexibility to work across a 7-day rotating roster.
- Must provide or complete a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months.
- Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children Check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases.
