About the Role
Greencross Wetherill Park is seeking a Casual Vet Nurse to join their team. This role is ideal for a collaborative nurse who enjoys sharing knowledge and working in a positive, balanced, and supportive clinic environment. You will be involved in all aspects of general nursing in a busy clinic with a moderate surgical and medical caseload, offering variety and learning opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Pre- and post-operative patient care
- Surgical assistance, anaesthetics, and monitoring
- Animal pathology, emergency and critical care
- Performing minor procedures when required
- Maintaining high standards of hygiene across the clinic and surgical areas
- Reception and client support duties as needed
Requirements
- Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience
- Availability to work Fridays
- Flexibility to cover additional shifts at short notice
- Confidence assisting with surgery, anaesthetics, and patient recovery
- Strong animal handling skills and clinical knowledge
- Ability to stay calm, efficient, and organised in a busy environment
- Excellent communication skills and a client-first mindset
- High attention to detail and accurate record keeping
- A genuine eagerness to learn, grow, and contribute to the team
