About the Role
Ericsson Estonia's Test Hardware Development System Design department is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to design electrical systems for industrial machinery, specifically test equipment. This role involves a full development lifecycle, from requirements analysis and component selection to hardware design, integration, verification, and documentation support.
Responsibilities
- Design electrical systems, including enclosures and cabinets, for production test systems and automated machines with nominal current up to 64 A.
- Create electrical cabling and wiring diagrams.
- Collaborate with design partners and stakeholders to clarify requirements and write design specifications.
- Perform work for CE marking of designed equipment according to LVD or relevant electrical standards.
- Write documentation for assembly, testing, maintenance, and use of designed systems.
- Archive and release design documentation and products.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of work experience in electrical design, preferably related to machine building and/or factory automation.
- Ability to design electrical systems for machinery.
- Experience following and working with electrical standards.
- Good market knowledge of components for electrical systems.
- Knowledge of the specification, design, and integration of safety components for automated machines/lines.
- Experience with CADMATIC Electrical or AutoCad Electrical.
- Analytical and solutions-oriented mindset.
- Agile ways of working.
- Good communication, social, and teamwork skills.
- High English proficiency.
