About the Role

Lead a regional team in the Security Systems Critical Infrastructure (SSCI) team responsible for managing security systems for Microsoft datacenters. This role is critical for delivering and sustaining physical security infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's online services, including Azure. It offers a high-visibility position with significant opportunities for technical and career growth.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the health of physical security systems across a portfolio of locations through break/fix operations.
  • Participate in on-call DRI rotation for support.
  • Ensure systems and hardware are configured in alignment with baseline standards.
  • Drive program improvements in partnership with other teams.
  • Enable the delivery of new datacenter capacity by programming access control and video systems.
  • Deliver success through empowerment and accountability by modeling, coaching, and caring.
  • Drive positive collaboration across teams by promoting open information exchange, resolving issues, managing conflict, and removing barriers.
  • Provide Subject Matter Expertise in the deployment of security systems technologies and support high visibility needs of the business on special projects.
  • Collaborate with leads across various disciplines to align and drive clarity on broader strategy, initiatives, and priorities.
  • Develop and assess data to continuously improve and mature the overall program.
  • Identify system performance trends to proactively address hardware and application issues.
  • Collaborate on planning and execution of engineering projects for hardware replacement, system patching, security system upgrades, and architectural improvements.
  • Monitor and manage security systems engineering team and vendor SLAs.
  • Act as a source for direction, training, and guidance for all teams.
  • Embody company culture and values.

Requirements

  • Experience in software development lifecycle, large-scale computing, modeling, cyber security, anomaly detection, Security Operations Center (SOC) detection, threat analytics, security incident and event management (SIEM), and information technology (IT) operations OR Master's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or related field.
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements.
  • Must pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
