About the Role

This is a specialized, senior-level Partner Manager role focused on proactive outbound sales and relationship management within the APAC Retail team. The role involves self-sourcing leads, generating pipeline through prospecting, booking meetings, conducting product demonstrations, and building interest through on-site visits before handing off to a closing partner. It also includes maintaining and growing existing partnerships.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify and engage high-potential golf facilities across Australia to establish Lightspeed as the region's premier Golf POS solution.
  • Build a robust, self-sustained pipeline through a high volume of cold calling, targeted on-site facility visits, personalised emailing, social selling, and outbound product demonstrations.
  • Continuously refine outreach cadences by analysing engagement data, A/B testing messaging, and collaborating with the team to share successful sales "plays."
  • Conduct meaningful, high-impact conversations with golf course owners and club managers, mapping Lightspeed’s features to solve their specific operational pain points.
  • Own the end-to-end pre-sales process, building trust with leads to ensure they are highly qualified and primed for a professional handover to our exclusive golf partner for closing.
  • Serve as the central conduit connecting the global golf team, external partners, and regional customers to ensure seamless communication and strategic alignment.
  • Consistently meet and exceed monthly MRR and SQL targets, while supporting the Retail Partnerships team with their ongoing initiatives including working with partners, identifying new opportunities and other adhoc requirements
  • Maintain impeccable Salesforce/HubSpot hygiene for precise forecasting, while actively monitoring competitor moves and local market dynamics to sharpen our competitive edge.
  • Stay at the forefront of the golf industry landscape by monitoring competitor moves and local market dynamics to sharpen our competitive edge.

Requirements

  • Deep, practical experience within the golf industry is absolutely critical.
  • Extensive background either playing golf, working at a golf facility, or successfully selling into the golf sector.
  • Past experience with partner management, and dealing with and managing a wide array of different partners.
  • Ability to handle cold calling, and converting conversations into qualified opportunities is a must.
  • Experience working alongside external partners or managing channel relationships
  • Possess a proactive self-starter mindset who can operate effectively without micro-management, taking full ownership of your pipeline and daily activity.
  • The ability to navigate rejection and use a deeply consultative approach, as you build your knowledge base.
  • Adapt and cope with ambiguity.
  • A track record of top performance in your previous role
  • Experience utilising CRM systems (Salesforce/HubSpot) to manage daily workflows.
