About the Role
We’re hiring an Operations Director to support firm leadership in the day-to-day operations. This hands-on role focuses on execution, driving efficiency, and ensuring smooth operations across our New York City and Long Island offices. The role involves managing multiple priorities, surfacing issues, and implementing solutions in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Own the firm’s operating cadence, including SOP documentation, standing meetings, project tracking, and follow-through on action items.
- Assess existing processes, workflows, and systems, identify improvement opportunities, and implement changes.
- Manage platform-level technology, new rollouts, and system changes, ensuring team training and minimal disruption.
- Serve as the primary operational point of contact for partners.
- Manage, lead, and develop the on-site administration team across both offices.
- Identify and execute improvements in time entry, WIP, and billing workflows.
- Drive the practical adoption of AI tools across firm workflows, moving tools from pilot to daily use.
- Identify opportunities for AI to reduce manual effort in core processes and own implementation, training, and measurement.
- Partner with the Windsor Path platform team on firm-wide AI initiatives and translate them for the WFFA team.
- Track AI adoption and report on effectiveness.
- Serve as the primary day-to-day contact between WFFA and the Windsor Path platform team.
- Coordinate on shared services including technology, HR support, recruiting, marketing, and vendor management.
- Advocate for WFFA’s operational needs and participate in platform meetings and initiatives.
Requirements
- 7+ years of operations experience in professional services (accounting, law, consulting, or similar).
- Experience with change management in team settings.
- Strong track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously while balancing stakeholder needs.
- Experience managing a team across multiple locations.
- Strong communicator who follows through.
- Comfortable working with senior individuals and pushing back when necessary.
- Quick to learn new technologies.
- Seeking to own the operating engine of a firm and have a direct impact, rather than a strategy-focused role.
