About the Role

This is a foundational engineering role based in San Francisco, focused on high-bandwidth collaboration and architectural innovation. You will work in-person to tackle complex technical challenges, modularize the core domain, and ship mission-critical features for a GovTech SaaS platform.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver complex, high-impact features including versioning systems, approval workflows, and permission models.
  • Participate in architectural decisions and contribute to Architecture Decision Records (ADRs).
  • Drive the modularization of the core domain.
  • Collaborate in-person to whiteboard solutions and debug production bottlenecks.
  • Uphold technical excellence through architectural code reviews and automated quality gates.
  • Leverage AI tools to refine AI-first patterns, including agentic testing and automated reviews.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of professional full-stack experience.
  • Strong engineering fundamentals in system design, database optimization, and clean architecture.
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to complex domain objects and data models in production.
  • High-agency approach to turning ambiguous requirements into technical specifications.
  • Strong working knowledge of defensive coding and authorization models for sensitive data.
  • History of writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
  • Ability to work in-person in the San Francisco office Monday through Thursday.
