About the Role
The Principal Data Scientist joins the Data & Analytics team to deliver innovative analytical solutions for organizational challenges. This role focuses on developing end-to-end solutions, from prototyping to production-ready complex algorithms, with a specific emphasis on Direct-to-Consumer needs.
Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable models using statistical and machine learning techniques for integration into business workflows
- Collaborate with D&A team members and business partners to translate requirements into advanced analytics solutions
- Conduct exploratory data analysis and data mining to identify patterns, trends, and business opportunities
- Audit existing analytical processes and provide guidance on implementing advanced machine learning capabilities
- Establish and execute plans to build, implement, and maintain predictive models under minimal supervision
- Manage the full project life cycle
- Collaborate with Data Engineers to validate source data and develop machine learning data pipelines
- Translate analytical findings and statistical models into actionable business recommendations
- Drive best practices for deploying Data Science at scale
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field
- Graduate degree strongly preferred
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Data Scientist, Statistician, or related role
- Hands-on experience with data mining, predictive modeling, machine learning, and statistical programming
- Experience working with both structured and unstructured data
- Demonstrated capability in rapid prototyping and developing end-to-end solutions using complex algorithms
- Broad understanding of core statistical and machine learning techniques
- Highly proficient in SQL and statistical programming languages such as R, Python, or SAS
- Proficiency in visualization tools, with Power BI preferred
- Experience with Microsoft Stack preferred
