About the Role

The Principal Data Scientist joins the Data & Analytics team to deliver innovative analytical solutions for organizational challenges. This role focuses on developing end-to-end solutions, from prototyping to production-ready complex algorithms, with a specific emphasis on Direct-to-Consumer needs.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build scalable models using statistical and machine learning techniques for integration into business workflows
  • Collaborate with D&A team members and business partners to translate requirements into advanced analytics solutions
  • Conduct exploratory data analysis and data mining to identify patterns, trends, and business performance opportunities
  • Audit existing analytical processes and provide guidance on implementing advanced machine learning capabilities
  • Build, implement, and maintain predictive models under minimal supervision
  • Manage the full project life cycle
  • Collaborate with Data Engineers to validate source data and develop data pipelines
  • Translate analytical findings into business impact measures and actionable recommendations
  • Drive best practices in deploying Data Science at scale

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Data Scientist, Statistician, or related position
  • Hands-on quantitative experience in data mining, predictive modeling, machine learning, and statistical programming
  • Experience working with both structured and unstructured data
  • Demonstrated capability in rapid prototyping and developing end-to-end solutions using complex algorithms
  • Broad understanding of core statistical and machine learning techniques
  • Highly proficient in SQL and statistical programming languages such as R, Python, or SAS
  • Proficient in visualization tools, with a preference for Power BI
  • Experience with Microsoft Stack preferred
  • Strong time-management, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage partner expectations
