About the Role

Cooper Equipment Rentals is seeking customer-oriented, motivated individuals to join their professional team. Applicants must be residing in Canada and legally entitled to work.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload equipment, securing loaded equipment per company procedure and inspecting in transit if necessary.
• Deliver and pick up equipment.
• Maintain accurate delivery and pickup records.
• Secure customer signature on contract, if not already signed.
• Inform supervisor of difficulties with deliveries or pickups.
• Inform management of new sales opportunities and job sites.
• Double check delivered items to ensure customers receive exactly what they ordered.
• Communicate with dispatch if behind schedule, so customers may be notified.
• Instruct customers on equipment operation.
• Fill out appropriate forms and get customer’s signature if equipment is missing or broken upon pick up.
• Turn in forms to Branch Manager, along with pick up sheets.
• Tag and move broken equipment to repair area.
• Perform vehicle inspections daily, checking gas, oil and other fluid levels.
• Complete daily field level hazard assessments and personal protective equipment inspections on E-Compliance.

Requirements

• Valid Class DZ driver’s license with a clean or satisfactory driver’s abstract (no more than three demerit points).
• Familiar with local roads.
• Available and willing to work overtime as needed.
• Flexibility; must be comfortable with managing and adapting to multiple changing priorities in a fast-paced work environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to converse with colleagues, customers, and other parties in a professional and courteous manner.
• Self-starter and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
