About the Role

PAX is seeking an Engineering Program Manager (EPM) to manage the design, development, and support of PAX hardware products. This role will drive processes, oversee schedules, and mediate between hardware and other departments, ensuring smooth program execution and excellent program management hygiene.

Responsibilities

  • Drive process development, improvements, and best practices consistent with a world class hardware product development organization.
  • Own and oversee program schedules and NPI build phase gates, while ensuring high risk areas have mitigation strategies and actions in place.
  • Mediate between hardware and the rest of the PAX organization.
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering, PLM, Operations and Product to execute on HW programs through DVT and ensure a smooth transition to Operations at PVT.
  • Drive strong program management hygiene including project meeting cadence, bug / action item tracking, and engagement with external design and manufacturing partners.
  • Create clear and consistent presentations to executive leadership on project status and schedules.
  • Travel to support manufacturing builds and ensure factory engagement best practices are established.

Requirements

  • 4 to 8 years of direct experience managing development programs.
  • Experience with Jira, Smartsheet, or other program management software.
  • Experience engaging both internal engineering teams and external suppliers.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, presentation, and data analytics skills.
  • Ability to focus on details and a resourcefulness to drive issues until they are resolved.
  • Domestic and International travel is expected - up to 25%.
  • Three days a week on-site at PAX’s office in San Francisco required.
  • Have an interest in cannabis.
  • Mandarin fluency is a plus, but not a requirement.

Salary/Compensations

  • $125,000-$185,000 + equity
