About the Role

This role involves covering the core GTA and surrounding area, calling on owners, specifiers, and applicators to strengthen market penetration for flooring products and increase sales. It offers challenges, opportunities for self-improvement, and the chance to be part of a winning team.

Responsibilities

  • Position Sika as a company that provides quality products and service.
  • Attain sales, pricing, and discount objectives.
  • Develop sales plans and strategies for architectural, owner, and contractor markets.
  • Conduct “lunch and learns” and other seminars or presentations for distributors, contractors, and architects.
  • Identify and follow-up on new market opportunities, emphasizing value-added sales.
  • Support company and corporate personnel in achieving defined goals and objectives.
  • Work with the corporate marketing department to provide a consistent message and product focus.
  • Analyze competition and be prepared to defend our sales position.
  • Manage own territory and customer base.
  • Provide prudent care and protection of company assets.

Requirements

  • University or College degree in business, technical, or related field of study or pertinent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in sales.
  • Ability to thrive both independently and in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop engaged customer relationships and effectively implement strategic concepts.
  • Excellent time and territory management skills.
  • Must be persuasive, sales driven, customer focused and a team player.
  • Proficient computer skills including MS Office Suite and smartphones.
  • Must maintain a professional business appearance in accordance with Sika dress policy at all times.
  • Career advancement may require domestic and/or global mobility.
  • Must be a highly motivated, self-starting individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Occasional overnight stays for business trips and company events.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and comply with Sika Fleet Safety Policy requirements.
