Responsibilities

  • Manage and support Pharmacy1st’s HIPAA-aligned security program, including policies, training, incident response coordination, and security best practices.
  • Support ongoing risk assessments, vulnerability remediation tracking, and security documentation efforts.
  • Coordinate security awareness initiatives for HQ, pharmacy, and clinic staff.
  • Assist with vendor security reviews, BAAs, and third-party compliance documentation.
  • Help maintain audit-ready processes aligned with HIPAA, SOC 2, and future compliance initiatives.
  • Manage day-to-day account provisioning, deactivation, and access requests across pharmacy, clinical, and corporate systems.
  • Maintain joiner / mover / leaver workflows tied to HR onboarding and offboarding.
  • Support role-based access controls and periodic access reviews for sensitive systems.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and audit-ready access logs.
  • Support the centralized IT strategy across corporate offices, pharmacies, and clinics.
  • Coordinate hardware setup, networking, software deployment, and device management for new and existing sites.
  • Manage core IT systems including identity management, MDM, helpdesk, endpoint protection, email security, and asset tracking platforms.
  • Maintain IT inventory, device lifecycle management, and standard operating procedures.
  • Help improve helpdesk responsiveness, uptime, and operational support across the network.
  • Coordinate PioneerRx deployments, upgrades, and migrations for pharmacy locations.
  • Support site go-lives by ensuring hardware, networking, and user readiness are completed on time.
  • Partner with pharmacy software vendors and local contractors to resolve escalations and implementation issues.
  • Standardize technology configurations across locations including printers, scanners, signature pads, and workstations.
  • Coordinate local IT contractors and managed service providers supporting pharmacy and clinic locations.
  • Maintain clear service expectations, escalation paths, and support workflows.
  • Assist in building a reliable field support network across Pharmacy1st markets.
  • Develop repeatable runbooks for routine onsite support and troubleshooting.
  • Partner with Operations, Care Delivery, Finance, and HR to support operational technology needs.
  • Support IT and security due diligence efforts for acquisitions and new site integrations.
  • Contribute to process improvements that strengthen scalability, compliance, and user experience across the organization.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of progressive IT and/or security experience in a multi-site environment.
  • Experience supporting HIPAA-regulated or healthcare-adjacent environments preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with endpoint management, identity/access administration, helpdesk operations, and vendor coordination.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities across distributed locations.
  • Clear communication skills and a service-oriented mindset.
  • Experience supporting pharmacies, clinics, or healthcare operations.
  • Familiarity with PioneerRx or similar pharmacy management systems.
