About the Role
Rare Candy is revolutionizing the trading-card industry with its community marketplace. We are seeking a Chief of Staff to work directly with the CEO on high-priority strategic and operational initiatives, ensuring seamless execution and company alignment.
Responsibilities
- Own the founder's top priorities end-to-end, making in-flight calls on major initiatives.
- Stand up new initiatives that lack a clear owner, providing structure and follow-through.
- Install and tighten the operating cadence, including leadership meetings and planning rhythms.
- Own significant external partnerships, representing the company and CEO credibly.
- Prepare critical materials such as board decks, investor updates, and structured analysis for CEO decisions.
- Handle sensitive company information with discretion and sound judgment.
Requirements
- Top-tier management consulting background or equivalent analytical and strategic experience.
- Demonstrated operating experience at a high-growth startup.
- Proven track record of owning and completing ambiguous, high-stakes projects.
- Ability to produce executive-quality thinking and materials.
- Skill in installing lightweight operating discipline without excessive process.
- Extreme ownership, bias to action, and decisive judgment under ambiguity.
- Low-ego, high-trust, and discreet professional demeanor.
- Fluency in the trading-card or collector world (collecting, playing, or adjacent community experience).
