About the Role
We are seeking Research Engineers to build the infrastructure, tools, and prototypes for our AI-driven material discovery engine. You will bridge the gap between research and engineering by transforming new ideas in modeling, reasoning, and experiment automation into robust, scalable systems within a fast-paced, ambitious team.
Responsibilities
- Translate cutting-edge ML research and novel architectures into performant, scalable implementations.
- Design, build, and optimize large-scale distributed training pipelines and inference systems on GPU clusters.
- Profile and optimize model code to resolve compute, memory, and data loading bottlenecks.
- Develop evaluation frameworks and experiment-tracking tools to bridge computational predictions with physical lab results.
- Curate and architect data pipelines for complex, multimodal scientific data.
- Collaborate with AI researchers, materials scientists, and software engineers to ensure models are deployable in closed-loop hardware environments.
Requirements
- Master's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Deep understanding of machine learning principles and modern model architectures like GNNs, Diffusion Models, and Transformers.
- Proven hands-on experience building production ML systems, including training infrastructure and deployment workflows.
- Strong programming skills in Python.
- Ability to translate research papers and prototypes into working, tested code.
