About the Role

The Manufacturing Pump Supervisor oversees daily production operations to ensure processes run efficiently, safely, and in alignment with quality standards. This role involves supervising production staff, coordinating workflows, monitoring productivity, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to meet operational targets.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily manufacturing activities and production staff.
  • Ensure production schedules are met while maintaining safety, quality, and efficiency standards.
  • Conduct shift meetings and communicate production objectives, priorities, and updates.
  • Monitor workflow and adjust resources to meet operational demands.
  • Monitor employee performance, attendance, and productivity.
  • Train, coach, and develop production team members.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Support performance management and provide feedback to employees.
  • Enforce company policies, procedures, and workplace safety regulations.
  • Support compliance with regulatory and industry standards.
  • Investigate and resolve production issues, equipment problems, and quality concerns.
  • Ensure adherence to quality systems and safe work practices.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Analyze production data and prepare reports on key performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with maintenance, quality assurance, engineering, and supply chain teams.
  • Manage inventory usage and ensure proper material handling practices.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of manufacturing experience, including supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality systems, and safety regulations.
  • Proficiency in production management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to analyze production data and interpret operational performance metrics.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing workflows, scheduling, and inventory management.
  • Root cause analysis and problem-solving capability.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong decision-making and conflict resolution skills.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
