About the Role

The Store Manager is a business owner responsible for leading, managing, and developing all aspects of their store's business. They will create and maintain a positive, productive work environment aligned with the company's mission, consistently achieving sales, profitability, and operational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute store retail strategies.
  • Understand local market clientele and competitors.
  • Stay aware of business trends impacting store success.
  • Demonstrate strong business acumen through KPIs to drive strategies.
  • Lead the team using company tools and strategies to meet sales goals.
  • Ensure the store team embodies ALO's mission and principles.
  • Develop an environment of growth, accountability, and inclusivity through development, performance management, training, and coaching.
  • Conduct talent analysis and establish career progression plans for key personnel.
  • Establish internal and external pipelines through succession planning and recruitment.
  • Oversee Sales & Service, Operations, and Visual Managers to ensure strategy execution.
  • Oversee and support the execution of operational and visual guidelines.
  • Champion strong visual standards using business performance data.
  • Support a safe work environment and efficient operations.
  • Develop schedules that support business needs while managing labor effectively.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to support organizational goals.
  • Act as an ALO ambassador and foster a mission-aligned culture.
  • Navigate the organization balancing business needs and brand culture.
  • Create and implement effective communication strategies to achieve goals and KPIs.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of retail or related industry leadership experience.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).
  • Extraordinary interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Highly motivated by driving business in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
  • Independent work ethic, time management skills, and personal accountability.
  • Aligns with and embodies ALO’s Guiding Principles.
  • Business owner mindset with an entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Requires constant movement in and around all areas of store.
  • Ability to lift, push, carry or otherwise move up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to lift, bend, kneel, climb, crawl and/or twist, and safely climb up/down a ladder.
  • Ability to stand and move for an entire shift.
  • Open availability for variable shifts, including peak days and weekends.
  • Ability to work during the company’s Blackout period (Thanksgiving through the first week of January).

  • $95,000 - $120,000 per year
