About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Project Manager to join our Project Management Office (PMO) team. This role will support complex Mission Critical projects, including Data Centres and high-availability infrastructure. You will lead projects from planning to closeout, ensuring successful delivery, and serve as a trusted advisor to clients and a leader within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Develop project execution plans and manage scope, budget, schedule, risk, and quality for multiple large and complex Mission Critical projects.
  • Lead the successful delivery of Data Centre and other Mission Critical infrastructure projects through all phases of design and construction.
  • Ensure ERP systems contain accurate project information, resource forecasts, schedules, and key milestones.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients, acting as a trusted advisor.
  • Maintain regular engagement with internal project teams to ensure clear roles, responsibilities, and accountability.
  • Leverage a deep understanding of HH Angus’ technical capabilities, resources, and service offerings to guide project strategy and delivery.
  • Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Work with limited oversight while managing competing priorities and complex stakeholder requirements.
  • Oversee adherence to HH Angus quality management processes and ensure effective document management.
  • Ensure contract administration functions are properly executed and lead resolution of complex contractual matters.
  • Support contract reviews, scope matrix development, and contract negotiations.
  • Guide teams through construction administration activities, including RFIs, submittals, shop drawing reviews, change management, and issue resolution.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance project delivery systems, processes, and performance.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, mentorship, and peer review support to project managers and project coordinators.
  • Deliver internal training sessions and contribute to the development of project management best practices and standards.
  • Introduce advanced ideas and innovative solutions that improve project performance and client outcomes.
  • Effectively engage and influence project team members, technical leaders, and stakeholders to drive successful project execution.
  • Provide strategic advice on budgets, schedules, scope, and delivery strategies during business development pursuits.
  • Independently lead small to medium-sized proposals and contribute to larger pursuits.
  • Support client relationship management efforts and identify opportunities for future work.
  • Contribute to achieving operational and financial targets.
  • Solve difficult and moderately complex project challenges through analytical thinking, collaboration, and innovation.
  • Make meaningful improvements to processes, systems, and project delivery methodologies.
  • Other duties as required.

Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in engineering consulting, project management, or the AEC industry.
  • Demonstrated experience leading large, complex Mission Critical projects, including Data Centres, telecommunications facilities, healthcare, or other high-availability infrastructure projects.
  • Strong understanding of project delivery methodologies, contract administration, and construction processes.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to influence multidisciplinary teams and drive alignment among diverse project stakeholders.
  • Recognized technical and/or project delivery expertise with a reputation for sound judgment and leadership.
  • Forward-thinking mindset with a passion for innovation, continuous improvement, and problem solving.
  • PMP designation considered an asset.
  • Experience with ERP and project management systems considered an asset.
