About the Role

Develop local PR plans that bring global strategies to life, building and maintaining relationships with press and influencers to increase H&M's exposure and cultural relevance in the sales market. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for local press interest that support brand building and commercial priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute local PR plans based on global PR strategies and activations across various formats, including press releases, press trips, events and media outreach
  • Build and maintain relationships within fashion industry stakeholders including media, influencers, celebrities
  • Support Brand PR and Talent manager to bring influencer relations, celebrity and ambassador programs to life
  • Provide routine assistance to Showroom and PR Specialist to ensure elevated showroom execution and assist with sampling
  • Identify new opportunities to ensure H&M remains relevant in the cultural conversation while simultaneously supporting commercial priorities
  • Manage relationship with agencies and partnerships with other external stakeholders, ensuring that delivery of results is aligned with business and brand/PR goals
  • Monitor and analyze PR performance, media coverage & sentiment, and campaign outcomes, providing insights and recommendations for improvement
  • Optimize yearly PR and Communications budget, applying a cost conscious and entrepreneurial mindset
  • Develop and execute PR and communication strategies and plans specific to Sales Market and in line with Global strategies and plans that strengthen the brand and support business objectives
  • Ensure all communications are aligned with brand values, customer centricity, and global guidelines
  • Collaborate closely with internal key collaborators to ensure consistency and maximize impact across channels
  • Stay updated on market trends and competitors within your functional expertise area
  • Act as a brand ambassador in all interactions, representing the company’s image and values in external engagements

Requirements

  • Degree in Communications, PR, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong external communication and stakeholder management skills, with established network within the fashion industry
  • Skilled in digital and omni-channel PR communication
  • Experience in event management (planning and execution of activations)
  • Knowledge of latest fashion trends and insights
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; additional languages as required per market
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Minimum 7 years' experience in PR and/or communications, preferably within fashion, retail, or consumer brands
