About the Role
A pivotal leadership role managing EMEA Pre-Sales Engineering and Solution Architecture, bridging commercial execution and technical delivery. This role oversees teams focused on winning new business and post-sales delivery, requiring a blend of pre-sales strategy and delivery management.
Responsibilities
- Support and lead strategic deal discovery, ideation, and education programmes across EMEA.
- Guide and mentor Solution Consultants in delivering value-driven consultations and platform demonstrations.
- Promote a culture of innovation, creativity, and proactive problem-solving.
- Partner with Sales leadership to develop winning strategies for net-new opportunities, renewals, and upsells.
- Craft winning responses to RFPs and complex technical proposals.
- Interact with customers, including technical influencers, economic buyers, and C-level executives.
- Oversee the Solution Architecture team, ensuring high utilization and efficient capacity modeling.
- Lead technical discovery and framing of LivePerson's portfolio for seamless integration and ROI maximization.
- Drive the development of processes, solution blueprints, API integration standards, and scoping tools.
- Balance workload, resource modeling, and regional assignments of Pre-Sales and Solution Architect teams.
- Track progress on high-value pre-sales opportunities, technical scoping, and complex PoCs.
- Manage technical scope, API requirements, and solution deliverables through a structured change management process.
- Act as the senior technical escalation point for complex client issues during onboarding and implementation.
- Act as a conduit between Pre-Sales, Sales, R&D, Marketing, Partner Relations, and Post-Sales Delivery teams.
- Ensure continuous training of the team and wider organization regarding LivePerson's Conversational Cloud APIs, Webhooks, FaaS, and AI-driven middleware.
- Act as a stabilising influence across the organisation, ensuring operational consistency and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- 10+ years of Solution Architecture or Technical Pre-Sales experience.
- 5+ years of dedicated leadership experience heading a Pre-Sales Engineering, Technical Consulting, or Enterprise Architecture practice.
- Proven experience managing both pre-sales resources and billable, delivery-focused technical teams in a multi-product SaaS environment.
- Deep architectural understanding of API-first SaaS platforms, web services (REST, SOAP), integration middleware, webhooks, microservices, and identity management (OAuth, SAML).
- Strong familiarity with Conversational AI, LLMs, and Messaging protocols is highly preferred.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
- Passion for mentoring employees, managing customer expectations, and driving technical excellence.
- Proven capability to champion the narrative of conversational AI transformation.
- Ability to translate complex, technical architectures into compelling, value-driven business outcomes.
- Ability to inspire internal teams and enterprise clients with a clear vision of the future state.
- Masterfully connect LivePerson’s technology to a customer's strategic goals, business metrics, and long-term ROI.
