About the Role
The Chief Workshop Manager (CWM) at Build-A-Bear is responsible for the overall success of the workshop, ensuring an exceptional Guest experience, a high-performing team, achievement of financial goals, and adherence to company standards.
Responsibilities
- Drive sales and team performance through coaching, ensuring an exceptional Guest experience, and managing payroll, forecasting, and scheduling.
- Create weekly schedules and assign daily tasks, directing associates' work and serving as a role model leader.
- Make hiring and promotion decisions, considering feedback from the Assistant Workshop Manager.
- Lead and inspire the team, enforcing company policies and procedures, and taking appropriate disciplinary actions.
- Ensure merchandising displays and layouts adhere to brand standards.
- Exercise judgment in responding to and leading the team to maintain operational efficiencies and safety policies.
- Oversee inventory management processes, including receiving, stocking, and inventory counts.
- Build and develop a high-performing team that consistently delivers an exceptional Guest experience.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of management experience in a customer-centric business.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience using common store technology solutions (POS, scheduling, HRIS, time and attendance).
