About the Role

The Manager, Business Partner (BP) provides support, planning, advising, and management of HR processes to client groups, interacting primarily with managers and director-level staff. This role is an integral part of the BP team, coordinating across functional support to ensure consistency, collaboration, and sustainability of processes. The individual will demonstrate strong collaboration, planning, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects effectively. Experience across core HR areas including performance and talent management, total rewards, talent acquisition, influencing, relationship building, and leadership coaching is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Understand the business and act as a thought leader to leaders on people, business, and organizational topics.
  • Partner with Centers of Excellence (COEs) to deliver strategic initiatives, programs, and processes to client groups.
  • Support and manage various business unit-wide projects and initiatives under the direction of the Vice President.
  • Consult with management, providing guidance on change management and talent management.
  • Coach and educate managers on tactics for navigating difficult conversations with staff on People Solutions topics.
  • Establish and build strong relationships with management to deliver appropriate people solutions.
  • Assist in the development of comprehensive people strategies and workforce planning.
  • Proactively recommend strategic people solutions to business issues.
  • Partner and plan with the Vice President and business unit(s) to execute organizational initiatives.
  • Participate in business meetings as a value-added resource.
  • Understand business unit drivers of performance and guide managers in addressing key issues that could impact performance.
  • Provide input and guidance on workforce planning, succession planning, and talent and skills needs.
  • Lead and facilitate critical discussions with business leaders regarding leadership performance and talent.
  • Participate in reorganization projects, such as restructuring or transformations.
  • Proactively share relevant business unit information with the Business Partner team and COEs.
  • Analyze trends and metrics, partnering with People Solutions COEs to develop solutions, programs, and policies.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and generate/share ideas.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 years of related experience focused on HRBP duties, employee relations, or other human resources functional areas, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Working knowledge and experience with a broad range of human resource disciplines, including compensation, organizational development, employee relations, performance management, and federal and state employment laws.
  • Demonstration of FINRA’s values.
  • Collaboration, both in-person and virtually, in furtherance of FINRA’s mission of investor protection and market integrity.
  • FINRA employees are required to disclose to FINRA all brokerage accounts that they maintain, and those in which they control trading or have a financial interest.
  • Employees must comply with FINRA’s investment restrictions, including disposing of any security issued by a company on FINRA’s Prohibited Company List or obtaining a written waiver.
  • Employees must maintain securities accounts that must be disclosed to FINRA at one or more securities firms that provide an electronic feed (e-feed) of data to FINRA.
  • Employees must move securities accounts from other securities firms to a firm that provides an e-feed within three months of beginning employment.
  • Employees must execute FINRA’s Employee Confidentiality and Invention Assignment Agreement without qualification or modification.
  • Employees must comply with the company’s policy on nepotism.

Salary/Compensations

  • CO/FL/TX: Minimum Salary $97,700, Maximum Salary $176,100
  • IL/PA: Minimum Salary $107,500, Maximum Salary $194,100
  • MA/MD/VA/Washington, DC: Minimum Salary $112,300 Maximum Salary $202,500
  • NY/NJ: Minimum Salary $112,300, Maximum Salary $211,400
