Copart is seeking a Software Engineer to join our team, focusing on developing efficient, secure applications within an agile-blended environment. You will collaborate with senior engineers and management to design optimal architectures and contribute to our mission of providing an unmatched global vehicle auction experience.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior engineers and management to achieve optimal application architecture and design
- Develop efficient and secure applications
- Perform peer code reviews and document solutions
- Communicate proactively with infrastructure, security, and quality assurance teams to improve processes and engineering excellence
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience
- 3 to 5 years of professional software development experience with Java-based applications
- Experience with Spring Boot, ibatis/hibernate, and messaging systems
- Experience with Spring REST, Spring Web, Spring Data Repository, Spring Security, and Spring Cloud Stream
- Experience in cloud deployments and service integrations
- Experience in relational and NoSQL data model design and development
- Experience in designing and building RESTful APIs
- Experience writing unit tests using JUnit
- Experience with Maven, Jenkins, and Git
- Experience with Agile methodologies and tools
- Understanding of architecture and development methodologies of n-tier systems
- Self-motivated, curious, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, client-focused environment
- Ability to communicate the 'how' and 'why' of technology choices
