About the Role
As an integral member of the Analyst team, you will support the firm's acquisitions, dispositions, capital formation, and investor relations efforts. You will work closely with senior executives and other team members, with opportunities to assume increasing responsibility.
Responsibilities
- Support the acquisition process through detailed operational budgeting, assessing market comparables, and financial modeling.
- Prepare investment memorandums for internal and Investment Committee briefings.
- Assist with new business development, including prospecting research and development of specialized marketing materials such as pitch books and tear sheets.
- Support the investor relations function, database management, and maintaining investor records.
- Perform financial analysis, support asset performance tracking, and quarterly reporting for private equity funds.
- Conduct fund roll-ups, portfolio return projections, and equity forecasting.
- Underwrite a significant number of assets for potential acquisition.
Requirements
- 0-2 years of professional experience.
- Passion for Real Estate; previous industry experience in real estate, private equity, investment banking, or investment management is a plus.
- Attention to detail is critical, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Desire to work in a small team environment.
- Sense of urgency, with a strong curiosity to learn.
- Must be coachable and open to constructive feedback.
- Exceptional communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in developing and maintaining complex financial models.
- Advanced MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Understanding of Yardi and CoStar is a plus.
