About the Role
As an ESG Analyst, you will play a hands-on role in bringing our ESG strategy to life by turning data into insights that help the business reduce environmental impact, strengthen social outcomes, and meet evolving regulatory requirements. You will work across teams to collect, validate, and translate data into clear reporting and practical actions, shaping how we tell our ESG story by turning complex information into simple, engaging insights that demonstrate progress. Your work spans emissions, energy, waste, and product lifecycle impacts, contributing to building a more sustainable and transparent organisation.
Responsibilities
- Map ESG data across the organisation, including emissions (Scope 1, 2, and relevant Scope 3), energy use, waste, and product lifecycle data
- Collect, validate, and analyse ESG metrics for internal and external reporting
- Establish consistent data collection and governance processes to support accuracy and audit readiness
- Build dashboards and visual tools that provide clear visibility of performance across carbon, energy, waste, and lifecycle impacts
- Prepare validated datasets for internal and external reporting
- Align data outputs to reporting frameworks such as GRI, ISSB or IFRS, TCFD, and CDP
- Maintain reporting datasets and submission records
- Ensure consistency across reporting periods
- Maintain ESG systems, dashboards, and data platforms
- Improve processes to strengthen data quality across emissions, energy, waste, and lifecycle tracking
- Support integration of ESG data into broader business systems and procurement processes
- Support compliance with sustainability and climate-related regulations, including emissions reporting
- Maintain strong documentation and governance practices
- Ensure all data is evidence-based and ready for audit or regulatory review
Requirements
- Organised, detail focused, and proactive with a pride in delivering accurate, high quality outcomes
- Comfortable working with different teams and contributing to a shared goal
- Experience in ESG, sustainability, or a strong analytical background in finance or procurement
- Strong data analysis skills, ideally across emissions, energy, waste, or supply chain data
- High attention to detail and structured approach to problem solving
- Strong Excel capability and exposure to Power BI or similar tools, or willingness to learn
- Good communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Understanding of ESG frameworks and sustainability metrics, including carbon accounting
- A genuine interest in sustainability and environmental impact
- Relevant qualifications in Sustainability, Business, Environmental Science, or a related field are desirable
- Experience working with environmental datasets is highly regarded
- Understanding of sustainability metrics and reporting requirements

- A bachelor’s degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Business, Data Analytics, or a related discipline
