About the Role
Clio is seeking an Assistant Editor to join their UK Editorial team. This role involves assessing new cases, logging findings, identifying legislative changes, and maintaining the accuracy of legal content. The position offers opportunities to work with AI and experienced team members to improve legal information resources.
Responsibilities
- Review new cases daily and assess their impact on existing precedent.
- Utilize a traffic light coding system to log findings for each case with precision and consistency.
- Identify changes in new and amending legislation and implement them in existing consolidated statutes.
- Record and accurately reflect the effective dates of amendments in the database.
- Collaborate with experienced team members to ensure accuracy and quality of UK common law legal content.
- Demonstrate a keen interest in improving your craft by using AI.
Requirements
- A law degree with a strong academic record.
- Familiarity with primary and secondary sources of UK law.
- Experience conducting legal research through both hard-copy and electronic sources.
- The ability to analyze complex legal materials and draw clear, well-reasoned conclusions.
