About the Role
AECOM is seeking a leader experienced in Aviation and/or Pavements to lead our Aviation & Pavements team in Melbourne. This role involves leading a team of engineers to secure and deliver projects for key clients, including major road authorities, international and regional airport clients, and defense airfields.
Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and inspire the Melbourne team across a range of aviation and pavement projects in Melbourne and ANZ.
- Drive technical excellence within AECOM's ANZ Aviation portfolio.
- Develop business growth opportunities with clients and construction partners, collaborating with the Aviation Growth Director and other client partners.
- Participate in the development and execution of the ANZ Aviation business strategy.
- Engage in AECOM’s Global Aviation Technical Academy and the Aviation Tech Ex group.
- Actively participate in the global Aviation Technical Practice Group, comprising over 850 peers worldwide.
Requirements
- Ideally 15+ years of experience in airside infrastructure engineering design, aviation pavement design, and pavement condition assessment and evaluation.
- Experience in interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating the development, capture, and delivery of major aviation and transport infrastructure projects.
- Experience in project delivery and leadership as Project Director and/or Project Manager, including Design Management and construction phase services monitoring across disciplines.
- Demonstrated client relationship management skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to positively influence others.
- Comprehensive knowledge of standards and guidelines from organizations and authorities such as CASA, FAA, IATA, and ICAO.
