About the Role
As a Host at Clockwork, you will be the first point of contact for guests, embodying the high service standards of the Fairmont Royal York. Your role is crucial in creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring a seamless dining experience.
Responsibilities
- Greet and seat guests promptly, maintaining a professional and friendly demeanour
- Manage reservations, waiting lists, and special requests efficiently
- Possess comprehensive knowledge of menus, beverage lists, and hotel promotions
- Maintain a clean and organised host stand
- Communicate effectively with servers regarding reservations and guest needs
- Assist with coat check services when necessary
- Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to improving guest experiences
- Adhere to health and safety procedures and hotel policies
- Complete all assigned duties before concluding your shift
- Promote teamwork and maintain good working relationships with all colleagues
Requirements
- Previous work experience in a restaurant/food and beverage setting
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a team player attitude
- Multi tasked when dealing with high volume of guest requests
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
- The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization
