About the Role
AbbVie's Austin-based Virtual Sales team supports field sales, operational, and marketing initiatives by building relationships with Healthcare Practices nationwide using approved best practices and quality metrics. We seek energetic, self-motivated individuals to thrive in a fast-paced environment, utilizing phone and other channels to create, nurture, and expand relationships with healthcare professionals to achieve brand objectives.
Responsibilities
- Use virtual sales techniques to positively engage with an assigned list of healthcare professionals.
- Establish phone presence, create rapport, network, build, and maintain productive business relationships.
- Engage targeted healthcare professionals in promotional communications according to program policies.
- Verify and complete required data entry, including target responses, notes, and follow-through actions, ensuring data integrity.
- Manage daily sales call activity to optimize time and maximize program objectives.
- Listen and respond appropriately to customer needs and questions to ensure acceptance of call plan objectives.
- Complete all required training and meet expectations to service customers within program parameters.
- Demonstrate effectiveness working independently and in a team environment.
- Meet and exceed established daily and monthly call volume metrics.
- Process customer requests for product samples and literature accurately and professionally.
- Answer questions related to securing product samples and literature, including mandatory signatures.
- Provide information on additional resources and services regarding products.
- Project a professional company image and establish ongoing client relationships through prompt and accurate service.
- Assist with various tasks, including reports and presentations, to support team objectives.
- Display a positive attitude and customer focus, providing timely resolution for customer issues, concerns, and/or questions using scripted responses.
- Communicate effectively and timely with the Virtual Sales Manager.
- Safeguard patient privacy and confidentiality by following HIPAA guidelines.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Background in sales and/or customer service.
- Ability to work independently.
- Highly organized.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in the healthcare industry involving interaction with physicians, patients, etc. preferred.
Skills
- Clinical techniques and understanding of medical terminology.
- Medical device, pharmaceutical, or related field knowledge.
- Professional phone etiquette.
- Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Proficient use of Excel for creating reports, analyzing data, and deriving actionable insights.
- Salesforce knowledge preferred.
- Ability to learn and assimilate information into practice.
- Adherence to established, mandatory best practices.
- Meeting daily activity goals and metrics.
- Expedient usage of database and core tools.
- Maintaining strict quality control standards and performance monitoring.
