About the Role
The Aesthetic Surgical Representative (ASR) is responsible for sales and promotion of Allergan Medical plastic surgery products, maintaining the customer base, developing new markets, and acquiring new customers.
Responsibilities
- Provides technical product knowledge and support to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Effectively utilizes all Allergan resources to enhance productivity and provide optimal customer satisfaction.
- Complies with required reports and requests and effectively manages Allergan field assets.
- Achieves territory sales objectives through alignment with US Sales and Marketing plans.
- Consistently achieves Quarterly and Annual sales quotas by providing compliant sales promotion of Allergan Medical products.
- Demonstrates effective product differentiation selling skills and business development by providing a consultative sales approach.
- Builds strong relationships and holds customers accountable to commitments.
- Manages account growth with strong knowledge of the business environment and products.
- Motivates customers to become product advocates and builds strategic working relationships.
- Develops and services Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and allocates appropriate programs toward VIPs.
- Effectively manages weekly coverage for cosmetic cases as needed.
- Proficiently positions the Allergan portfolio in the cosmetic surgical arena.
- Meets productivity goals across the product portfolio.
- Manages and executes across multiple product portfolios (APP, Brand programs).
- Assesses territory metrics to develop and implement territory business plans.
- Proficient in all computer applications: SalesForce.com, Natrelle.com, AllerganNetwork.com/APP.
- Logs in and effectively searches for metrics, prepares for sales calls, and utilizes tools in selling situations and territory management.
- Implements and promotes marketing programs.
- Meets sales training requirements set forth by senior leadership.
- Meets additional administrative requirements and timelines set by the Regional Manager.
- Manages and completes all consignment audits before deadlines.
- Effectively maintains territory within the Regional Travel and Entertainment Budget.

- Articulates strategy to customers, management, and team members.
- Understands and adheres to mandatory corporate compliance initiatives and travel/expense policies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in health, sciences, pharmacy or business-related field preferred or relevant and equivalent industry experience required.
- Minimum of 3 years of Surgical or Specialty Sales experience required.
- 5 or more years of medical sales experience and/or training.
- Surgical Sales Experience Preferred.
- Knowledge of clinical, surgical techniques and procedures, and medical terminology preferred.
- Ability to identify decision makers and influence decisions.
- Ability to manage and prioritize workload, multi-task and manage a diverse mix of issues, responsibilities, and challenges.
- Excellent communication skills and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage budgets, expenses and execute plans.
- Strong computer skills.
- Ability to function effectively in a high-performing team.
- Exhibits a high degree of flexibility in adapting to a rapidly changing environment.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
- Ability to communicate scientific/clinical features and benefits of a product.
- Knowledge of medical device manufacturing.
- Knowledge of operating room etiquette, sterile fields and sterile techniques.
- Ability to observe use of Allergan Medical products in the surgical arena.
- Ability to drive a car with a valid driver’s license.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test and meet safe driving requirements.
- This role is field-based, and candidates should live within a reasonable distance from the primary city.
