About the Role
Provide efficient food and beverage service to internal guests, adhering to policies and standards. Support cafeteria operations and maintain cleanliness and Ecosure standards.
Responsibilities
- Report to duty punctually in uniform.
- Perform specific duties as assigned by the Cafeteria manager/Manager on Duty.
- Perform opening and closing duties according to department standards and SOPs.
- Support all areas of the cafeteria by working as a team.
- Set cafeteria buffet food and beverage lines before each meal period.
- Reset each buffet line for the next meal period.
- Ensure cafeteria buffet lines are fully stocked at all times during meal periods.
- Identify items for reordering by communicating with the manager on duty.
- Receive goods from the stores department and store items using FIFO method and Ecosure standards.
- Ensure tables are cleared, cleaned, and sanitized for guest use.
- Meet Ecosure standards, including hot and cold holding logs, sanitizer buckets, and proper storage, rotation, labeling, and dating of items.
- Monitor and clear the colleague mini fridge of items left for over 24 hours.
- Conduct yourself with a pleasant and helpful attitude, providing efficient and friendly service.
- Control and record food consumption via punching meal tickets.
- Purchase additional meals using “add on meal cards” through Talent & Culture.
- Carry out any other reasonable duty requested that pertains to the total operation of the outlet.
Requirements
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
Skills
- Food Handling Certificate
- Previous work experience in a restaurant/food and beverage setting
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
