About the Role
AbbVie is seeking a Brand Manager to develop and implement annual marketing plans, coordinate their execution, and grow long-term sales, profit, and market share for assigned products. This role involves leading and supporting the development, translation, and execution of a multichannel marketing strategy to meet strategic and business objectives. This is a 2-year, maximum term contract opportunity.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategically aligned commercial initiatives in Oncology to drive product uptake, strengthen competitive differentiation, and support brand objectives.
- Facilitate and lead agile project teams incorporating external stakeholders.
- Develop strategic relationships with internal and external customers to gather insights and guide business decisions.
- Participate in the development of marketing objectives, brand strategies, and aligned tactics.
- Drive the delivery of new customer insights to enhance and build on brand innovation.
- Work with brand and sales teams to execute brand strategy.
- Implement omnichannel strategies incorporating traditional and digital channels.
- Coach and model the AbbVie Innovation Framework.
- Navigate internal processes to ensure business activities comply with relevant Acts, legal demands, and ethical standards while meeting deadlines.
- Achieve sales and market share annual goals.
- Deliver highly tailored, compelling experiences using real-time data, advanced analytics, and AI to reflect customers’ unique preferences and behaviours.
- Understand key internal and external forces and dynamics guiding all decisions.
- Understand market access key stakeholders’ economics and decision making to enable patient access.
- Analyze and synthesize data to generate impactful insights that drive action, deepen customer intimacy, and fuel curiosity.
- Inspire action through compelling narratives that effectively convey value for key stakeholders.
- Realize the full potential of brands and portfolios using a deep understanding of the market, competition, customers, and clinical value to build a compelling brand story and provide strategic direction.
- Report any adverse event within 24 hours as per AbbVie’s policies and procedures.
- Proactively participate in AbbVie’s WHS programs, adhere to policies, and promote a safe work environment.
- Adhere to AbbVie’s internal codes of conduct and compliance processes.
- Perform other ad hoc duties, such as administrative tasks, as requested.
Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in a business or science-related field.
- Fully conversant in the Medicines Australia Code of Conduct.
- Knowledge of marketing fundamentals and theory, strategic brand planning processes, and the role of sales teams in the marketing process.
- Understanding of product life cycle management processes.
- Strong stakeholder management skills.
- Previous healthcare/marketing experience.
- Experience turning market data into key insights.
- Experience managing complex campaigns and agency relationships.
- Multichannel exposure (print, digital, sales force).
- Budget management experience.
- Effective collaboration with sales teams, deploying brand tactics, and translating strategy into action.
- Effective collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Demonstrated excellence in execution.
- Professional, accountable, and collaborative team player.
- Flexibility to occasionally participate in business meetings outside of standard hours to ensure effective global collaboration.
