About the Role

As a Revenue Accountant, you will drive innovation and automation across the enterprise, often leading finance and business projects. You will own the revenue accounting for all lines of business, consumer and commercial, ensuring compliance with US accounting regulations and US GAAP standards.

Responsibilities

  • Revenue accounting for Equifax Canada, in compliance with US accounting regulations and US GAAP standards
  • Management of the accounting for revenue generating projects
  • Prepare month-end reports, commentaries and variance analysis to senior management
  • Management of the sales contract review process and input into customer opportunities
  • Review and approval of monthly commission payments for the sales force
  • Support the FP&A team in forecasting and budgeting
  • Quarterly contract reviews of material contracts
  • Oversee the rebate and royalties process
  • Involvement with, and leadership of, multi-functional projects and business initiatives
  • Involvement in the production of customer invoices and management of authorization workflows
  • Assessment on the accounting treatments of different revenue topics such as recognition/rebate/discounts and other

Requirements

  • 5+ years’ management accounting experience
  • University degree in accounting
  • Qualified accountant (CPA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
  • Knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS accounting
  • Foreign currency accounting
  • Report writing and maintenance
  • Experience using Oracle Financial system
  • Advanced Excel Skills
  • Experience on the review of Contracts and Master Agreements which are multi-element and complex
  • Experience in Revenue accounting and knowledge of ASC 606 revenue recognition
