About the Role

The Store Manager is responsible for leading, managing, and continuously developing all aspects of their store's business. They will create and maintain a positive and productive work environment aligned with the company's mission, consistently achieving sales and profitability goals, operational objectives, and merchandising standards. This role involves developing a highly successful Sales, Operations, and Visual team.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute retail strategies including customer experience, client relations management, employee performance, and community connectivity.
  • Increase brand awareness, drive store traffic, and broaden the clientele base.
  • Identify and communicate individual and team training needs.
  • Impact fitting room conversion by ensuring clients are attended to, product is accessible, and sales execution is seamless.
  • Facilitate new hire onboarding and ongoing training for existing staff.
  • Ensure the Sales & Operations team embodies ALO's mission and guiding principles.
  • Drive and motivate the store team to achieve individual sales goals and store KPIs.
  • Establish individual development plans to support professional growth and talent needs.
  • Evaluate the management team and provide constant feedback for growth and improvement.
  • Monitor and address performance issues promptly.
  • Conduct talent analysis and establish career progression plans for key players to reduce turnover.
  • Fill open positions, prioritizing internal candidates.
  • Interview, hire, train, direct, manage, coach, develop, coordinate, evaluate, and discipline direct and indirect reports.
  • Utilize the check-in process for talent development, promotion, and advancement.
  • Ensure staff adherence to wardrobe standards and brand representation.
  • Ensure adherence to all store standards, including cleanliness and maintenance.
  • Maintain Visual Merchandising standards and directives.
  • Supervise inventory management to meet shrink targets.
  • Complete all required daily and weekly reporting.
  • Manage headcount and payroll objectives.
  • Implement tactics for effective P&L strategy.
  • Plan for future business needs to improve business results.
  • Ensure all transfers, consolidations, pricing, and shipping/receiving comply with company policies.
  • Make recommendations to improve operational systems and processes.
  • Identify opportunities in product, sales, and team development and present solutions to corporate.
  • Resolve customer issues and complaints in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional business partners to support organizational goals.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, including the executive team.
  • Partner with field and corporate leaders to establish effective strategies aligned with company initiatives.
  • Navigate the organization balancing business needs and brand culture.
  • Conduct regular store meetings to motivate the team and communicate brand activities.
  • Reinforce company standards and policies and hold staff accountable.

Requirements

  • Prior experience within retail or related industry.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).
  • Experience managing and leading a team.
  • Dynamic interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Extraordinary guest experience, organizational and time management skills.
  • Agile with the ability to handle multiple tasks in a changing environment.
  • Aligns with and embodies ALO's Guiding Principles.
  • Highly motivated by driving business in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
