About the Role
This role involves supporting Sales Managers and Advisers in a Trainee Adviser capacity, with a structured training plan and dedicated mentor to develop into a competent Adviser. The goal is to become a Chartered Financial Adviser.
Responsibilities
- Prepare background notes on clients for meetings.
- Prepare meeting presentation slides.
- Engage clients with TPO Wealth and liaise with support.
- Update client information, including asset and income schedules.
- Perform background work for Advisers, such as policy information and administrative tasks.
- Attend meetings and take notes.
- Prepare follow-up communication and agreed actions for clients.
- Submit handovers to the administrative team and follow the client journey.
- Submit briefing notes.
- Produce CAP and SA letters on behalf of authorised Advisers.
- Support core administration tasks.
- Handle client calls and queries efficiently.
- Take full responsibility for scopes post-meeting.
- Operate cash flow and Collidr in meetings.
- Develop the ability to lead client meetings.
- Provide cash advice to clients via Savings Champion.
- Support TPO direct with inbound queries, meeting preparation, and post-meeting activities.
- Book lead calls and meetings for Advisers.
- Embrace overarching fitness and propriety principles and relevant TPO KPIs.
Requirements
- Experience working in an IFA with exposure to client meetings.
- Good technical understanding.
- Minimum Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Advice (CII preferable or willing to undertake exams).
- Long-term ambition and desire to become a Chartered Financial Adviser.
- Experience within Private Independent Wealth Management.
- Exposure to client meetings where you have actively engaged with the client.
- Technical ability to understand different types of advice offered.
- Exposure to cash flow (preferably Voyant) as a planning-led firm.
- Ambitious and goal-orientated.
- Adaptable and flexible approach to work in a changing environment.
- Experience of working unsupervised with a high level of self-motivation.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- High standard of personal organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to take control and drive own development and study time.
- Capability to explain complex information simply and clearly.
- Discretion and understanding of client confidentiality.
- Experience of working to targeted service standards and procedures.
- Good IT skills covering MS Office, MS Outlook, MS Excel and back office systems.
- Ability to demonstrate compliant delivery of a client meeting from start to finish.
- Ability to articulate TPO service, proposition and fees.
- Ability to position advice needs to clients.
- To undertake and pass regulatory authorisation assessment by meeting benchmark regulatory standards.
