About the Role

The Design Technologist / BIM Lead will own the digital production flow and design automation on the Product team. You will implement BIM-management best-practices, experiment with cutting edge AI design automations, and maintain the source-of-truth models for all building components. This role is central to creating a seamless workflow between product development and scalable project delivery, executing across design, modeling, documentation, factory, and the field.

Responsibilities

Design automation strategy, proposing ways to expedite product development and scale project delivery.
Build and maintain a BIM library of kit-of-parts and rules-based configuration system.
Advance each component through concept to BIM to construction documentation to field validation.
Automate BOM generation from concept feasibility to construction documentation.
Define how the system is communicated and handed off to manufacturing, the field, and jurisdiction authorities.
Act as the connective point across Architecture, Structural, MEP, manufacturing, software, and in-field teams, resolving conflicts in the model.
Maintain fabrication-aligned BIM models, permit-ready drawing sets, and a controlled component library.
Produce high-quality drawings for all components and automate parts of drawing production.

Requirements

Advanced modeling in Revit, ACC, Rhino, Dynamo, Grasshopper, and visualization software.
Proven ability to move data across software and platforms and to design information flow through a toolchain.
Licensed architect or on a clear path to licensure.
6–10+ years in architecture with hands-on experience in building-system coordination, modeling, documentation, and construction.
Strong grasp of architectural documentation fundamentals, building-systems integration, and CD standards.
Proven ability to maintain complex systems across multiple product and project iterations.
Experience with prefabrication, modular, or panelized construction.
Experience with product-platform delivery over project-based delivery.
AEC tech background and architectural productization development.
Experience integrating architecture with structural and MEP systems.
Hands-on involvement in construction or prototyping.
