About the Role

This role focuses on learning the craft of software engineering within a team environment, specifically assisting in the development, testing, and maintenance of AI/ML-based software solutions.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing, testing, and maintaining AI/ML-based software solutions
• Implement machine learning models using established frameworks and libraries
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code
• Support data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation
• Participate in code reviews and follow software development best practices
• Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and engineering teams
• Debug and resolve basic software and model performance issues
• Contribute to AI projects aligned with roadmap initiatives
• Perform small refactorings to improve local software quality
• Seek support from team members to overcome obstacles

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Strong programming skills in Python or Java
• Basic understanding of machine learning concepts
• Familiarity with AI/ML libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn
• Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming
• Experience with version control systems (Git)
• Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure or GCP)
• Basic knowledge of REST APIs and microservices
• Familiarity with SQL and data handling
• Internship or academic project experience in AI/ML
• Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC)
