About the Role
As a Supermarket Assistant, you will provide Partner-led service and passion for food, ensuring customers have a positive experience with the Waitrose brand. Your efforts will contribute to customer loyalty and retention. Any time worked between 22:00 - 06:00 will attract a Night Premium of £3.75 per hour. This role is for Waitrose Brent Cross only. Applicants must be 18 years or older due to Working Time Regulations.
Responsibilities
- Stock replenishment, ensuring shelves are full and products are correctly placed.
- Fulfilling online customer orders for delivery.
- Reducing wastage through product due diligence and markdowns.
- Supporting the wider shop team, including checkout, Click & Collect, and on-demand orders.
- Maintaining a safe and tidy working environment through general shopkeeping tasks.
Requirements
- Must be able to work in the specified location (Waitrose Brent Cross).
- Must be able to work the advertised hours.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Communication skills for effective teamwork and customer interaction.
- Experience of working in a customer-facing role is welcomed.
- Up-to-date knowledge and strong interest in food and drink trends.
- Flexible approach to support the whole branch.
- Pre-employment vetting may be required, including potential DBS checks and financial probity checks.
